June 8, 2008, Louisville, Ky -- Four kids will be making the trip to Akron next month to represent Louisville in the All American Soap Box Derby. The winners were decided after the local soap box Derby race was held Saturday.
Cameron Lowe edged out Andrew Eaton by .019 seconds in the final heat to take the Masters division title. Lowe was the 2007 Super Stock champion as well. This is the first time Louisville has had back-to-back wins by a single driver.
Andrew Eaton, runner-up in the Masters division two years in a row, will also be going to Akron. Eaton accumulated enough points in the Rally series this past year to qualify for the World Championships.

The All American Soap Box Derby takes place on July 26 in Akron, Ohio. Our local champions will travel there for a week-long festival of activities and practice before the Saturday race. Last year, the number of champions sent from around the world topped 550 drivers.
