Kentucky Speedway hosts first Soap Box Derby Rally
This will be the first annual Kentucky Speedway Rally, co-organized by the Cincinnati and Louisville Soap Box Derby organizations. It will be a 4-Point Rally with a double-elimination and a single - elimination race on each day.
Cost to race is $35 per race with discounts for signing up for multiple races
Weekend Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday 7 a.m. Raceday registration and check-in begins.Weigh-in as soon as scales are set up. 9 or 9:30 a.m. Target start time for double-elimination race. Afternoon. Single-elimination race will start immediately following the double. 6 p.m. Target completion time for all racing.
Brake Pad: Make sure you have a new or almost new brake pad on your car. This is a fast reack and the asphalt is rough. We expect many teams will go through one whole brake pad this weekend.
Camping The Kentucky Speedway has given permission for race teams to tent camp on the property adjacent to (but separated from) the Boy Scouts that will also be holding a Camporee that weekend. If you are interested in camping, contact Doug Newberry (513-885-1373) for more details. Note: This will be real camping. No hookups.
Concessions We will not have any concessions at this location. There is a BP down the road on Hwy 35. You are encouraged to bring a cooler and food for the day.
Legends Race There will be a Legends Race in the Speedway infield on Saturday evening. This event is not open to the public but spectators (mainly Scouts) will be allowed to watch from the grandstands. No charge
Fireworks The Scouts will be having a fireworks display after the Legends race. Launched from outside Turn 1.

From Louisville and Cincinnati, take I-71 toward Sparta, Ky.
Exit Hwy 35 and turn North.
Turn left on first road (Speedway Blvd)
Follow Blvd and turn left on Jerry Carroll Blvd.
Follow signs to pits.
