MGP History

2009 marks the 20th anniversary of the Mini Grand Prix, which was developed in Cincinnati as a major fundraiser for the Arthritis Foundation The MGP has continued in that fundraising role ever since.
The success of the Cincinnati event in 1989 was exported to cities across the United States. at its peak, Mini Grand Prix events were being hosted by the Arthristis Foundation in 32 cities every year.
While interest in other cities has waned, the enthusiasm in the MGP‘s founding city continues to be strong today as the MGP returns to Downtown Cincinnati for the first time since 2004.
